A country retreat at the foothills of the Appalachian mountains 9 miles west of Gettysburg, PA. Offering quiet cottages and rooms with whirlpool baths. Full breakfast except on Sunday, when a basket breakfast is taken to your room. Dinner is featured in a beautiful restored barn. Serving visitors since 1977. Two night minimum required on weekends.

My husband and I went to celebrate our anniversary. We did not have a reservation but they still found us a table. They treated us so nice and brought us out an extra desert and wished us a very Happy Anniversary. This is a great place for a large gathering as it is family styled eating.

The entire experience there from start to finish, is one of a kind. The sweet kitties outside, the decor, the indoor train, the warm cider and crackers while you wait, the gift shop, the food but especially the CRAB IMPERIAL!

The salad was great, the spiced peaches were good. However the main course left much to be desired, the crab imperial had some imitation crab mixed in with the real crab. The beef was not a real roast beef, but a version of a cube steak. While the Chicken was prepared nice it too lacked a good flavor. The potatoes were NOT cooked to a done state.
