Things were just adequate, disappointing for the prices. The eggs were overdone on the croque madame, coffee/water were not watched over, were empty most of our time there. Waitstaff could do better, kitchen did ok but not good.
Daughter and I went for happy hour and had a variety of food. Loved it enough that we came back for breakfast. We were not disappointed. Great place.

I suggest calling before you arrive. Waiting over and hour but the food made up for it. I it was amazing and delicious and I want to try dinner.
Everything about this place was perfect! First, it's amazing old firehouse (1911) and being that my hubby is a fireman and our outof town guest too also FireFighter...well big plus. We all ordered something different for breakfast. My Bayou eggs benedict was to die for, 1 daughter had there french toast and their other the goat cheese and veggie scramble OMG!! Writing about it doesn't do justice. I think you best go chk them out. You won't be disappointed....yep, great service too😊

Hi-Life is one of my fav Seattle restaurants in my fav neighborhoods! A mainstay of Ballard, Hi-Life's eclectic menu, extremely friendly service and well-prepared food have always provided a great dining experience the 5-6 times I've visited!!! Always greeted with a smile, always pleasant and jovial, and always delicious!! Elsie took great care of us this past Friday evening - her excellent and efficient service was executed with a smile and wonderful sense of humor. Love, love, love the Hi-Life!
We wanted to take pictures of our food but it looked and smelled so good we forgot... then we ate it and we are now in a food coma it was so incredible the crushed red potatoes are a must have!!! �
