I'm not satisfied with the cataract surgery. It appears that it was just rushed not completed properly and eventually just passed on to another doctor at that practice. I cannot recommend Dr Darlington nor the practice.
My medical vision problems started with Vitreous Hemorrhage Lt Eye, to Retinal detachment Lt Eye, Retinal tear Rt Eye and Cataract Lens deterioration. Dr. Darlington explained everything with patience and interest. My cataract surgery went well. I was one of the 1% with a fragment left over in one eye. He discussed my options and we agreed to wait it out. It disappeared over time just as Dr. Darlington said it would. In the meantime, he ensured there was no infection or pressure problem. I am very happy.
From my son’s emergency visit, to the referral to Bascom Palmer for emergency eye surgery, to the constant texts checking on him, even on the 4th of July!! One amazing and caring doctor!
I received implantable collamer lens (ICL) surgery in both eyes in 2023, a route I chose because my corneas were too thin for usual laser surgery. Over a few months, the options improved and I was impressed with the way Dr. Darlington kept up with latest technology. Instructions for pre- and post-surgery were very clear. It took about two hours in one morning for both eyes, and over a year later I still have 20 20 vision, improved from strong nearsightedness. Thank you, Dr. Darlington and staff!
