I booked a full size Nissan Altima or similar sedan online and prepaid for it online. Arrived for pickup and was told that I would be upgraded to a Nissan Kicks. I don’t mind Nissan vehicles at all, I used to work at a Nissan dealership so I know the Kicks is a totally different vehicle than an Altima. Shorter wheelbase and smaller engine. Renting a car in Manteca is "slim pickings" to say the least. I booked a reservation online without issue, which was for a mid-size SUV(per Hertz that's a Nissan Rogue or equivalent). I show up for my pick-up time 10 mins before opening, when I'm taken to my rental I see a Kia Niro waiting for me. Mind you... I upgraded from a sedan to a mid-size SUV for the extra cargo space. I had an excellent experience at Hertz in Manteca with Miriam. The reservation process was easy, the SUV was clean and in great condition, and pickup and drop-off were quick and hassle-free.
