My dad and I stopped at the Hertz located in the Johnstown, PA Airport to rent a vehicle. From the moment our interaction started, Vicky was extremely rude. I reminded my dad, “Check if they have an AARP discount.” Vicky rudely interrupted and said, “We don’t.” The price was suddenly $20 higher than we were quoted online. Vicky refused to add our Gold Member discount even though we had a paper showing the member ID number. They take all your information and you take the extra step to save time at the desk by giving them your card and license and they run your credit score?! The website says nothing about this, and that they don't take debit cards if your score isn't high enough and you're not using a credit card in the first place. They can't run your credit as a part of the process for setting up your reservation and saving time at the register. This is complete and utter crap! Attempted to get a rental from here in an emergency, called and was informed they had a full sized suv available at the time and when i questions if I need to call the insurance company to set up the reservation, the man said no. Arrived at the airport where the man I spoke with quickly walked away and sent a woman over to speak with me.
