Booked and pre-paid a Hertz reservation on Expedia. The expedia website and hertz website indicated that price included all mandated fees and taxes. Apparently expedia and Hertz do not communicate. The Hertz counter rep told me Expedia does not cover taxes. Despite the clear wording on the Expedia receipt, I was shocked to be told I had to pay for concession, licensing, and sales tax. Manager told me to get lost and that he didn't want my business. Most likely this issue will fall upon deaf ears. I became very upset with them for not keeping their commitment. If they tell a customer and post online they will be at their office during certain times and then they do something different, that is completely wrong. Change your online posting of hours of operation, to say “we’ll be there if it’s convenient for our staff”. I made a reservation with Hertz to drive down to Vegas for a flight I had scheduled. They called me the morning of my reservation to let me know they had sold out of cars and they couldn’t honor it. This left me no time to change flight plans. The representative proceeded to tell me that it was in the “terms and conditions” that any reservation made within 48 hours of the scheduled pickup was not guaranteed.
