I'm a local and I frequent Herman's at least once a week. The food is great, I just have one complaint and that is they need to cut you a slice of cake that you can taste. It's not a big enough peice for your money.
After Thanksgiving, we stopped by Herman's on our trip home. A great find. The Christmas decorations were beautiful. The food was great. I had a veggie plate-black eyed peas, sweet potatoes,fried green tomatoes, greens and corn muffins. For dessert, carmel frosted pound cake. Oh my, that cake was the best I've ever had. It will make you want to slap your mama AND your mama's mama. Well worth the trip off the highway.
