I ordered a cake for a Derby themed shower and gave pretty basic instructions for the decorations and left them a copy of the invitation. I could not have been happier about the final product. They did an amazing job decorating the cake with a derby hat and roses. The colors were perfect. On top of that, the cake was delicious. We have bought baked goods here for years, but I never realized that they would customize a cake like this. Great experience!

I use Heritage for all my parties! They have always made awesome custom cakes for me and I live to stop in for a quick donut for me and a cookie for my little guy!
If I could rate them a zero I would based on the awful customer service displayed by the owner who was unwilling to even acknowledge that any mistakes were made by her staff. It's ok to make a mistake (there were plenty) but she needed to acknowledge that and not try to blame it on the customer which she tried multiple times. She clearly has a habit of that which is well evident in the comments under negative reviews on this page. Between the post you keep adding to, and the scene you caused in the store, there appears to have been a misunderstanding with your order. From the decoration, to the price, and now to the taste, there doesn't seem like there would have been any pleasing you no matter what your cupcakes were like. Like you said mistakes do happen, it was our fault that your cupcakes weren't boxed when you arrived, however they were ready early this morning. Hopefully you had a nice time at your event and thank you for your feedback.
I highly recommend this bakery for custom cakes. I had them make a custom unicorn cake/cupcakes for my daughters second birthday. The design and taste exceeded my expectations.

I stopped in for a morning treat, a yummy custard filled long John donut!! Can't wait to go back. Everyone needs to help support these local businesses and stay away from blah chains.
It is the only place for fresh baked goods in Livonia!
I stopped in during the busy Easter holiday and they were able to find me a nice birthday cake regardless. Always a pleasure. Recommended.
