Horrible office and this doctor is not a good doctor at all I waited almost an hour to see this guy and the visit was 2 seconds. The nurses are air heads or at least I think they are nurses I really think they are all medical assistants that have no clue and should not be in the medical field at all. It's a total mess for an office called munster community hosp. and they referred me to a Dr kumar he is wonderful. Also dr herbstman staff is rude and scheduled me for the wrong procedure.
Very poor social skills, doesn't listen to my health issues, goes straight to recommending a procedure $$$ as most doctors do. After the procedure and during the follow up visit, he sends someone to tell me "test result was normal". Well! gee man! thank you very much for the special treatment!! my symptoms are still the same, nothing got fixed. Will never go back there again.

I have waited 2 days to receive an explanation of the blood work and CT Scan that Dr. Herbstman ordered. I called Monday 3/28/2016...response: I was told what I have already been diagnosed with previously. I called Tuesday 3/28/2016...response we are short on staff due to Spring Break & not enough staffing at this time, I will call you back later today...once again no phone call as to my original questions regarding my blood work & CT Scan...
Staff could care less. Doctor makes you wait for an hour +. Spoke with a waiting room full of people who say that is the norm. Not going back!
Dr.Herbstman has been my Dr for 20 plus years, I was recommended to him by a Nurse at Munster hospital , Nurses know who the good Drs are, also his staff is excellent esp Lillian RN, He is very kind gentle and I trust him so much Ive brought my family members to him, 2 brothers my sister and my mother,He is the best 5 stars for sure
