Henry's is great! – I especially like Henry's happy hour food. What a great deal, and you get to eat for cheap in a nice place!
Night out with Friends – My husband and I went to Henry's with another couple for a night out. The atmosphere was great. The view from the upper level seating was great! Both food and service were great! I will go back!!
wow- that's a lot of beer – i went here for the first time, and loved it- granted, i didn't have to wait in the long line after 9pm, but once we got a booth in the bar, it was a great scene- not too crowded (probably because of the line out the door), and the service was actually pretty good- great choice of beers- don't get the sushi, it was sub-par, but the fries and burgers were good- overall, it was a great spot to see the trendy portlanders try to scam on each other with not so original lines.
Always busy for a reason – Decent food, decent prices, large variety of food choices and a nice atmosphere make this place a popular choice for many Portlanders. So many in fact that it is almost always very busy. Busy is good if you are looking to meet people but bad because service can be slow and sometimes it can be hard to find a seat anywhere in the bar. Very nice selection at the bar and also an upstairs bar with several nice pool tables. Too bad this place closes so early!
Hot Spot – Gtrea place. The outdoor seating it so wonderfull in the summer. Fun for drinks, you have to check it out. First Thursdays.. this place is crazy! Fun, that about describes it. Not one bad thing. It you are anti - social, weird or are uncomfortable being in a good, fun crowd... don't go. Regular people.., give it a try. You won't be dissapointed
Good - but needs to take reservations! – The only negative after a night at Henry's was the fact they don't take reservations. We went on a Friday night (group of 6) and had to wait nearly 1 1/2 hours for a table. Luckily we found a place to camp in the bar and had great bar snacks, beers and cocktails. The dinner menu offered something for every taste and budget. If they took reservations we would make this a regular stop - as it is - we will likely go back only on a rare occasion when we can stand to wait for a table.
Can't get much more trendy – The moment I walked into this place I felt like I was at a fashion party for Vogue. Don't go in there unless you have a Louie Vitton purse, a fake tan and trendy clothes. Its an expensive place to get your drink on.
Doesn't live up to reputation – This was a much anticipated first visit to Henry's and I was highly disappointed. First things first, consider yourselves forewarned: happy hour does not exist for outdoor seating. Second, in keeping with the American "supersize" attitude, the california rolls were as big as my fist. Take a hint from the Japanese Henry's, and make the sushi bite size! Give Me A Break – I have visited Henry's on a number of occasions for dinner, drinks and happy hour. But my last, and final, visit to Henry's was a night that me and two friends stood in line for over 20 minutes to get into the bar only to be passed up by 3 scantily dressed women who were allowed by "security" to enter in front of everyone else in line.
