Avoid this emergency room at all costs. I have serious concerns about the integrity and professionalism of the majority of the staff I encountered, including the rude check-in clerks, maintenance personnel, technicians, nurses, and doctors. There were instances of misdiagnoses and false, inaccurate reporting by individuals who should not be working in a patient-care environment. I came in because I’m 56 tested positive for Covid with preexisting conditions. So I was being proactive coming in, get to Henry Ford get signed than asked to sit in the waiting room, prior to triage which was ok. But my husband and I sat in the waiting room for almost an hour there was absolutely no one aside of us in the waiting room. The doctor (Dr. Beasly)did not show any type of empathy for the pain I was experiencing. I recently was seen at Beaumont and she reference everything that Beaumont said versus giving her own account of my situation. And I wanna say one thing don’t wanna make it a racist issue but it may be, Black people be careful going out here if you don’t live in the area my son felt it was a rasict environment. Very frustrating environment, disorganized and inefficient. Patients are lined up in ER hallways with no nurse/doctor around. You have to go and ask for everything otherwise you are totally ignored for hours. Waited for more than 2 hours for a CT scan results which never arrived, left after 5.5 hours without any diagnosis.
Took my 85 yo mom in yesterday evening for a blood clot, UTI, and discharge from her eye. Nurses were fantastic. ER doc was a total disappointment. He never made eye contact with my mom or spoke to her directly. As if she didn’t exist. We had to pry information out of him. He couldn’t be bothered even looking at her eye. Just said it was a viral infection and nothing could be done. Do better HF.
