As always it was wonderful. The staff from the person checking me in to checking me out were friendly and efficient. Dr. Deleeuw as always gave me all my options, explaining least evasive and most. We discussed and picked a course of action we were both comfortable with....I have never had a bad experience in this office.
Dr. Deleeuw has done all of my back surgeries and had been absolutely amazing! Very kind and listens to what you have to say. Does a great job explaining on what’s going on and what needs to be done and why. Definitely recommend him!
I went to another doctor about my back before him and they did nothing to help me they just brush me off and treated me like I was stupid dr. Henry deleeuw did my ankle surgery years ago so I went to him about my back and of course he helped me again he is a wonderful doctor and I recommend him to anybody know anywhere over 20 years.
This dude fixed me. I was in constant pain from a disc herniation that was causing severe sciatic nerve issues in my right leg. I was taking handfuls of Alive and any prescription drug i could get just to get through the day and hopefully get a little sleep. After surgery, every hour got better, then every day got better. I stopped taking pain killers on day 7 and returned to work on day 8. I started going to the gym at week 7. It has been 7 months since the surgery. I feel great. I'M HEALED!
Very nice to talk with on the initial visit, but does not listen to what you have to say on follow up visits. For 3 weeks I addressed the problem of wound drainage, with the answer always being that is normal. Ended up with infection and the incision opening. At that point I made arrangements to have a different surgeon perform the necessary second surgery.
If you want a physician’s office that will put you at the center of care, who will communicate with you regarding expectations, who will reach out to you to see how you are doing, who will really listen to you about how your progressing after surgery, who will be receptive and reactive to your needs as a patient after the initial cut, stay far away from South Bend Orthopedics.
