I bought my car in for a 45 minute recall repair. Made an appointment for 9am. I was asked at check in if any further repairs were to be made and I said no. Two hours later, I am still waiting and being told the Tech is going through my filters and doing a multi point t inspection. This was not requested. I had a really good buying experience at Parks Toyota of DeLand. I purchased a 2025 RAV4. The first new car I have owned since 1971. At that time, I purchased a 1972 Chevrolet Vega for less than $3,000. My monthly payments were $87.67. So anything I purchase these days gives me sticker shock. Purchase a used F150 truck from Toyota Erdman 4 months ago and it stopped running. I had it towed to to the dealership hopefully they would help with the cost of the repair. However, the service department apparently try to make as much money as possible. They quote one number one day and 24hrs later nearly doubled it. I was very disappointed with my experience at Hendricks Toyota. We brought our vehicle for a routine maintenance. Our sunvisor had also fallen off on the driver side. I asked if they would be able to fix that. When they looked at it, they said that the mounting apparatus was shot andthe entire inside frame would have to be replaced to be able to fix the visor. I want to know that I had exceptional service with Dave A.and his team. I went in for scheduled service and I said that while driving there my heater started blowing cold. While waiting Dave A. came out and said that mice had invaded my car. I said that I would file insurance claim. Dave handled everything. He talked to insurance appraisal person who visited dealership several times. Eventually my car was a total loss. I also was given a loaner and that experience was just as easy. Service is awful. I arrived at 7:38 for a 7:45 appointment. The assessment was complete at 9:12 but my van wasn't ready until almost 11 am (over 3 hours of time spent). All they had to do was replace the fan in the dash. The video at 9:12 shows the dashboard off and the fan not operating properly...not quite sure why it took an hour and 48 minutes to replace the fan. Avoid this place like the plague. My mother purchased a used vehicle that they have on their lot 25 days ago and she still has not received it. The dealership says they do not have the title, and have not been able to obtain it, and we discovered through the insurance company that there is still a lien on the vehicle that has not been paid. They have been lying to her about why they can't get it, blaming it on the RMV. She has already paid for it and it's unclear if she has any recourse. On January 30, 2024 drove 3 hours from Austin, TX for a great price on a Toyota 2023 Venza that was advertised as Certified Pre-owned. When we got there learned that the "Certified Pre-owned" was only an option that it would be an additional 1.2K to the price if we wanted to add. This already felt deceptive, but we had driven a long way and it was still a good price so we went ahead with the purchase.
