Look at the Forest, not the Trees – I have to say my expectations and priorities are different in comparison to other mall reviews. I am THRILLED that a mall is now located on the Northeastern side of the triangle and only takes me 15 min. to access vs. driving to Crabtree (nightmare);Cary Town Center(35 min.); SouthPoint(1 hr.). Yes, all the amenities (e.g. restaurants, cinema, etc.) are not complete; but those are just trees in the overall forest, and will develop with time. A mall is a mall is a mall.... – There's nothing different about any mall when you get down to it. Some are better-decorated than others, but really we just go to shop. and the stores aren't any better at the Town Centre than they are at Crabtree, SouthPoint, or any other large mall in the area. And until Raleigh as a whole starts being less stuffy and more hip, the shops are going to suffer too (for instance, I went to Benetton in Charlotte's South Park Mall which had some AWESOME clothes in it, and when I went two weeks la... read more
narrow parking spaces – The title says it all, parking spaces are too narrow, considering the size of todays SUVs, there will be lots of door banging.
Should be called a "work in progress" – Triangle Town Center is a very airy and pleasant experience. The traffic flow worked well, and with the staggered openings probably helped. There's a nice mix of stores, with a heavy focus on the teen and tween market. Dillard's seemed to be a little understocked when compared to Hechts and Belk. The food court and river complex have a nice feel, but it's too bad the outdoor resturants for the Town Commons and the movie theaters weren't even built, yet.
