Food took me here... but the whole area is great – I used to live in LA and love this interesting and friendly part of the city with great restaurants and equally great shopping. Brunch at La Dijonaise is a must, and their Cappucino and pastries are outstanding. Another favorite is the Let's be Frank Hot dogs... Great restaurants and good furniture shopping – I went here last week and had great food at Father's office and found some nice decorations at HD Buttercup. At first I was confused by the name, Helms Bakery District, but if you go to their website you can see that there are a ton of furniture stores.
