The food is great, the political views held by the staff are spot on, and they’re all super cute and charming. What’s not to like? Go eat that food!

The fried chicken is life-alteringly good, they have a huge, friendly patio, and the staff is always super duper friendly. One of Oakland's best restaurants, just tucked away on a quiet street in my neighborhood.
Their food is AMAZING, their staff are just great and they are a wonderful supportive queer space where I always feel the love.
The food here is incredible and the atmosphere is super welcoming, but I also want to give this place kudos for standing up for trans/ non-binary/ GNC folx, but especially trans womxn! As someone is is non-binary I appreciate Hella Vegan Eats for not only recognizing marginalized communities but also for not giving a fuck about people who victimize themselves just because they got called out. I will never not support a place who sticks up for trans womxn; Hella Vegan: the community is behind you babe.
