Fun but too short... A big money pit!! The $20 was just a lure to get you in there.
Out pilot, Tyson, was AWESOME!!!!!!!!! My husband was terrified to do this (we have never flown in any aircraft before), after purchasing the $40 pp package and taking that flight, my husband & I both loved it so much we went back & did the Dunes tour ($80 pp). The only downfall was we wish we had just put the money we wanted to spend into one flight.
Such an amazing experience!!! This was my first time in the air ever and our pilot and the staff made me feel more at ease going up. I enjoyed my first time so much I went back for a second flight!!! I will be back next time I'm in Myrtle Beach!!!
I have say "I liked it" because it was my first time in a helicopter and I had a smile on my face the entire flight. I was shocked but not surprised at the continous upsell that took place. I was not so naive to think I was going to go for a real ride for $20 but the upsell was enourmous. Be prepared to spend some $$$.
It is not always about the price but the memory. I enjoyed every second. Thank you!
Flight time could have been longer but that cost more... but overall it was a nice experience and the people there are super friendly... glad I got my tickets online. Because I did this we got in the special line.. no one in this line.. we were scheduled for 3 pm and went up at 2:30 pm and ahead of the folks who just bought their tickets at counter as we walked in behind them..
I've done several helicopter rides at Myrtle Beach. All of them were in the day time but my first night ride was at Helicopter Adventures. It was very fun, pilots were very experienced. I'd definitely recommend!
It was fun, but expensive and way to short. What drew us in was the 20 dollar ride, but upgraded to the next. Then not to have adult and kid prices. Then charge for the head sets, video and picture. We bought a picture, which was taken on a digital camera, the cart guy looked at it, said great and off we went, only to find the picture, my 3 year old was making a crazy face bc the sun was in his eyes. At least take a few, or when you looked at it, notice it wasn't the best and do again.
