Great experience at this practice with Dr Helfgott. Really relaxed intake appointment with no time pressures, plenty of time to chat, never had to repeat myself, and lots of attention to detail. Really glad I found this practice and will be returning.
This man is a gem! He literally saved my sight when he correctly detected the beginnings of retinal detachment and immediately sent me in for surgery. Later, he also did a very successful cataract surgery -not one “floater” in my eye afterwards- where he had to work around the shape of my eye socket to get in the anesthetic required. Just a superbly qualified man (he literally has written the book on eye surgery) who has a wonderful treatment. He represents everything medical professionals should aspire to.
Indecisive. He was slow to catch my husband’s macular degeneration. Disappointed after 49 years at this practice.
