Ive been in therapy for awhile and thoroughly enjoy it. At the recommendation of my therapist I sought out EMDR. Helen was the only one in network and my intake session was awful. Not sure if she just finished lunch or what but she was fixated on her teeth and using her tongue to clean them. When not focused on that her eyes were off screen (Covid so we did virtual) and paying attention to something else. Not sure I'll return. Seemed to uncaring and not a comfortable space made me very uncomfortable. More attention to computer typing during session. Seems like she makes a lot of negative assumptions, guesses, seems like a not so sympathetic experienced judgmental therapist.
Dr. Davis is excellent. She is very knowledgeable, pays attention to all my needs and always answers my questions and concerns. She has advocated for me and assisted me with all my special needs. She takes time to truly understand my issues and is very culturally competent. I highly recommend her.
Dr. Davis helped me significantly with my anxiety issues, I've had specific anxiety for half of my life and she helped me confront and overcome them in only just a handful of appointments. I definitely recommend working with her!!
Excellent. Dr. Helen Davis has a very positive approach to issues I have struggled with for years. I was referred to her by a friend who also was helped by Dr. Davis. I would highly recommend Dr. Davis to anyone who seeks help with emotional issues.
Not sure I'll return. Seemed to be wiping her face when she came late to get me in lobby. Hate the computer typing during session. Seems like she makes a lot of assumptions, guesses, seems like a flimsy therapist.
Dr. Davis has helped me in many areas of my life in the 10 years I have been seeing her. I feel I was and still am able to deal with deep childhood issues which were difficult, as well as, relationship, work and health issues. She has expertise in EMDR, cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness based stress reduction, as well as creative imagery. She is excellent in knowing when to use which approach. I have referred family members and a colleague of mine to her .
Dr. Davis is excellent. She is knowledgeable, attentive and helpful. I feel so much better than when we first started. She has helped me a lot and I highly recommend her.
Very nice lady but is not fully present during sessions. I have experienced her finishing up chewing up her meal and drinking her tea, being pre-occupied with finger nail or cuticle by picking at it. One of her responses did not address my situation...she stated the opposite setting of what I was discussing. She was not helpful in addressing my situation.
