Bought a cake for my wife’s birthday and it was dry as dust, very disappointing.
We decided to order our wedding cake from Heitzman and this was absolutely a mistake. They forgot cupcakes that we ordered and the cakes was expected to be delivered between 3-4 p.m. and was late. What a shame that you lost my services for good. Spoke with the owner who seems she could care less about the situation and made assumptions that I didn’t know what I ordered. We got our wedding cake from them (yes, Shelbyville Road location) and while the cake was beautiful and the flavors were absolutely delicious the service we received was poor. Very rude and nasty, especially when they couldn’t find our cake stand that we didn’t use and ended up never coming off the truck. We couldn’t use the one they provided because it was a cupcake display and with Covid the cake had to be served to you. Luckily our wedding venue had an extra cake stand to use (pictured).
My mom bought a birthday cake from the Heitzman bakery on AUG 8th & after cutting the cake a guest noticed MOLD on the bottom of the cake after several of us had already eaten a piece. There was no date visible for me to see when the cake was baked. I called the bakery this morning and was told to bring it in. While being greeted the manager told me their cakes are good for 1 week. i purchased a cake for my mom's birthday. it was completely inedible, cutting the cake was like sawing through a tree. when i called, i spoke with Marguerite and she assured me that i would receive a full refund. a month later, still no refund. when i called, they claim to have never spoken with me. very unprofessional. we have purchased so many cakes, donuts, and cookies over the years and this is beyond disappointing.
