We just moved to the Charlotte area from the Chicago area. DDD had just aired an episode that featured Heist Brewery the night before we visited. We were very glad we turned on the food network on a Friday night. Needless to say, we enjoyed everything about this place. We'll be back!

It seems the food is hit or miss for some. Its actually been really good when I have been there. Not outstanding but pretty solid. Their beer on the other hand. World Class! So far I have tried at least a handful of their offerings that have been among the best I've ever had: Citraquench'l, Cataclysm II and III, Azzaca Flocka Haze, Thirst, Imp.... they really do consistently turn out incredible beers.
They have some lighter, less hoppy options with great flavor. Very nice atmosphere and lots of inside and patio setting options. The food menu is fantastic and the Chimichanga is amazing. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that the service is on the slow side so not a great option if you're on a schedule. However, if you are looking for a great place to hang with friends this is a wonderful option.
Recently moved to Charlotte and was told to go to Heist. Heard DDD was airing next week and after working in a pub that also was on the show I wanted to try it out beforehand knowing the amount of business it will bring. The food was okay as my beer cheese burger was good but my wife's ham and pinto cheese was cold. Service is going to get destroyed once this episode airs. Good luck next week because your staff will not be able to handle it.
