Years ago Heinsohn did a rock revetment for me and my review is listed below. In 2025 I contracted with them a second time, this time for a long pier and dockhead with slips. I was difficult in that I did not want to lose any time racing and so needed the work done in the winter months. They complied and worked through sub-freezing, awful weather in February 2026. I would absolutely recommend Heinsohn - they could not have been more professional, thoughtful or helpful throughout the process. They were competitively priced, reliable and great at communicating - it was a big project, and I always felt that we were in good hands. The final outcome has been just what we'd needed and hoped for. Highly recommend.
We just finished up a stone revetment job with Heinsohn Contracting and couldn't be happier with the outcome. Eric Heinsohn and the entire crew were an absolute pleasure to work with. The excavator ballet, transferring material between barges, was performed flawlessly and great fun to watch. If you a looking for a marine contractor then look no further, these are the folks to use.
Great work, reliable, honest and fair. Shocked we never heard of Heinsohn, but we had a permit in hand and watched them do a great job on a very large shoreline across from us. Their quote was 40% less than another we got so we were a tad skeptical at first. The crew communicated through the entire project and did everything they said they would do and then some. Contacted about 10 contractors, half didn’t respond, 3 said they couldn’t do it, 2 came out for a site visit, 1 laughed, and 1, Heinsohn Contracting, rolled up their sleeves and built this beauty. Calling it a challenging site would be sugarcoating it. Calling it a superb job done would be underselling it.
