What bothers me most about salespeople like the one I encountered at Heins is preying on our ignorance to the business, as well as our human decency. He was friendly and mildly funny, but you don't owe him anything for coming out to your place, it's standard practice to get 3 quotes, and there's no reason why you should trust a stranger. My suggestion: Repeatedly just ask for a quote on your roof BEFORE doing anything else, including giving them your insurance paperwork. Reputable roofing companies will give you a quote. We recently had Heins Contracting replace our roof, gutters and install gutter guards, they did an AMAZING job! DJ was our contact person, and we can't say enough good things about him. DJ was easy to get in contact with, he answered any and all questions we had very promptly, as well as being there at the start and finish of our project. I also need to give a shout to the roofing crew! I don't know their names, but they came to work..no messing around. When they completed the project the yard was spotless!
