My husband underwent a routine ACL surgery with Dr Heiden in late 2022. Within a week, infection set in. While infection is always a risk, the lack of response by Dr Heiden and his team stands out as extremely poor medical care. When I texted with concerns about my husband's pain, nausea and passing out, they were brushed over as unimportant or ignored. Later when speaking to Dr Heiden, he admitted that he had not responded appropriately to what was obviously a serious situation and said that he expected a medical malpractic... read more

Dr Heiden is such a nice, knowledgeable fellow. He answered all of my questions to satisfaction, advised me well. performed the surgery with precision and followed up most adequately after the procedure. And checking in weeks later I felt truly cared for. I will highly recommend him to all of my friends and family for years to come, and anyone else who will listen

Dr. Heiden fixed my ACL, cartilage, and meniscus. Surgery went great. His advice was better...stupid simple. He said if I became a cyclist I would have no knee issues from here on out. I did and he was right. Yea...that sounds ridiculous to some, but I can't tell you how many people I know who have experienced an ACL tear and are still having issues years later. I play soccer with my kids, golf, and still ski like I did before the surgery, the surgeon did his job...the advice was priceless. If you are an athlete, Dr. Heiden ... read more

My husband came in for a knee issue and swelling that extends down to his ankle. They took an X-ray before the doctor even saw him. Then Dr Heiden came in and said actually we need to do an MRI, you might need surgery. Really… waste of money and time for an X-ray. We felt like a number and he could care less about the concerns my husband had and questions he felt were unanswered. Then we were encouraged to use his MRI “guys”. Dr Heiden was in the room for 3 minutes (how can you do a real exam in that time) with my husband. I... read more

I also would give this place zero stars. It seems to ride mostly on the past fame of its founder and owner Eric Heiden, the former Olympic speed skater and competitive bicyclist. But in person, at the Salt Lake City Office, I have been treated impossibly rudely and their Dr. Mangiapani has entered false information in my chart seemingly maliciously. They are dishonest and arrogant, and they abandon their patients the moment they squeeze revenue out of them or if they find something to quibble about with the patient. For ... read more

I don't know who I talked to at this group practice, but after I described my symptoms for a sore muscle, they said, “we can’t help you.” Then I asked, “Who can?” They said, “Max Testa is the only possibility in this state.” Good advice, and no charge. BTW: Erik Heiden is one of the most all time decorated Olympians.

I waded into the Middle Provo before sunrise, cast once, and felt like someone hit the outside of my left ankle with a hammer. I looked down. Nothing in sight. I waded/fished until 11 but the pain didn't quit. Back at the car, wading boots and waders off, I rubbed my left ankle and a tendon slipped off the fibula bump back into the notch below. Pain gone! But the tendon wouldn't stay put. I called for an appointment with Dr. Dickerson and the next day I was gingerly making my way across his office parking lot, trying to prev... read more

If I could give a zero star I would. He told my sister that he would bet his expensive car there’s nothing wrong with her knee. Like who says that. That’s not how a doctor should behave. Words can not express how upset I am. This is unexceptionable behavior not only as a doctor but a human being.

He did nothing. Didn't even examine my knee nor take x-rays. I asked him at the end for a MRI. That was 3 months ago and I haven't heard from him since.
