We bought a male and female from Heidelberg's a few months ago. We LOVE these puppies. They are very intelligent already herding our cattle with no training; very protective. They know that the UPS guy is good and that random unknown people may not be. They also stay between my husband and the bulls-ALWAYS! They are very playful, attentive and are becoming well behaved. RecommendedI felt like family by everyone there. The dogs are all so well behaved. I watched as a new owner was leaving the gate and the 12 week old puppy stayed by his side, like he was with him for years. I learned about the feeding program and the information is phenomenal. I learned about by-products and I will be feeding my dogs real meat and vegetables no matter what the cost. The heart worming program is OUTSTANDING! These dogs are respected and loved. I want to continue giving them that.
Got a female Heidelberg from this breeder 25 years ago...headed back to Texas next month for another...Need I say more? They are the BEST!
First GSD spayed lived to 13. One now neutered is almost 10. He is a long haired beautiful dog. Buy as puppy, bring home and they stay here. Perfect pets and live as a family member. Great with children.
I brought my dog here for training. I called a few times while she was there to check on her and they never seemed to know exactly. When I went to pick her up she had scabs all over her body. A larger bald spot by her eye looked like she may have been in the beginning stages of mange as well as a couple of bite marks. When I brought it up to the trainer he mentioned that she came in that way (red flag). I called the main office and they just told me that dogs play and it happens all the time and it's no big deal. We recently purchased a puppy from Heidelberg. We have had a fantastic experience. The office staff was super helpful in our selection. The staff caring for the puppies has also been great. We were welcome to visit as often as possible after selecting our puppy until we took him home. I would highly recommend Heidelberg to anyone looking for a new German Shepherd puppy.
Professional beyond anything you can imagine. I've been going here since 1981. Please check out the way they take care of their dogs. Short and long term health care. Feed and care for your dog the way they recommend, you will never have a vet bill except rabies. And that's a fact proven by me for 36 years.
