This place is the ONLY place to get a German Shepherd puppy!!! Beautiful dogs from championship bloodlines with great temperaments. We have purchased two puppies from them and wouldn't consider getting a German Shepherd from anywhere else.

Sheba, the Shep we got from Heidelberg some twenty-plus years ago, was known as "The Best Dog Ever" by family & friends, including some who did not like dogs and others who feared Sheps. I have read many reviews on Heidelberg German Shepards and I don't understand why they have poor ratings. I got my Shepard "Brody" in 2010 and I could not be more pleased with is temperment, look and health. I have had more complements about the way he looks than any other dog I have ever owned. He is very friendly with all dogs and people and has never shown aggressive behavior towards anyone that I can recall. They have a very different approach to Veterinarians. Just brought our new family member home. Everyone at Heidelberg German Shepherds were more than helpful. Answered many questions and always supportive. Looking forward to many years with our GSD. Wanted to update; have had our GSD for over a month now. He has been very quick to learn and adapted very well with our household. We could not be happier with our choice of a Heidelberg.
Please do your homework about this place. It is not hard. 1) Pick any five veterinarians and ask their opinion. That should do it. 2) If you're still curious go to the Montgomery County courthouse and read the cases that have been brought against this company and its owner. Absolutley horrific. Our rescued Golden Retriever had to be put down after suffering severe trauma while being boarded there.
