Came here for our anniversary and was expecting a nice dinner. The food was bland lacked seasoning and my prime rib was 75% bone. Definitely not worth the money. It seems to me that this restaurant is resting on its laurels of being open for 5 generations. It is truly a shame that I wasted my Anniversary here. The only positives was the company and waitstaff.
We sat at the bar at first. Lovely Barmaid got us our drinks. We did not have a reservation but were seating at a nice table closest to the Lake. 2 of us had surf and turf and 2 of us had the chicken cutlet over arugula with Parmesan. The Lobster and meat were perfection. Wanda was a great and attentive waitress. The salad was yummy as was the baked potato. I have always loved this plae. It was a perfect Indian summer night too! The grounds are beautiful and the place has Old School vibes! U can't go wrong!
Gorgeous views of the lake and sunset while we consumed delicious food and drink. Excellent service. Wonderful ambiance.
Never again.. how dare Thad deny seating us. He let us sit for almost two hrs and because my husband complained about his meal the last time we were there (mind you it wasn't good) he denied seating us. Let us sit at the bar and buy drinks but refused seating us for dinner... when leaving, I said to him,"thank you for letting us sit for almost two hrs "he replies in a snarky voice , Sorry .. really??? This is why we haven't been back in two years.. go to hell Thad, you're a real class act..
