I've been taking my Porsches and VWs to these guys since i arrived in Portland 10 years ago and have nothing but good experiences. Their mechanics really know their stuff and care about what they're doing.
Honest guys and good communicators, and they have a sterling reputation for working on old air-cooled Porsches. Also, they warned me away from buying an early Audi Coupe Quattro that had been run hard and put away yet. On the other hand, they botched a job diagnosing intermittent stalling on a Vanagon---they charged thousands of dollars replacing electrical parts including the entire engine wiring harness and the computer before finding that the fuel tank was dirty. Great friendly service.
It is too bad that a few people with problems write the reviews which I do respect but there are hundreds that drive away happy and dont think of saying a thing. I have used this shop for years. Same management and same mechanics with years of combined experience. They are honest and fair and would always make things right if there is ever an issue. No longer theshop it use to be – Change of ownership? Whoever is running this place is doing a bad job. This use to be the best shop in town. I can no longer trust them to work on my car. They fixed my car and soon after the problem showed up again. No call back after I dropped it off and horrible communication when I finally called them to find out what was going on.
