-refused to take me off a medication that was not working, while it was causing a psychosis-rude-prescribed a medication that I did not fill, but had severe side effects with medications I was already on-incorrectly diagnosed my seizures-showed zero empathy

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Heck. She saved my child’s life. My son was misdiagnosed for several years before we came to her and when we did see her she knew right away what was wrong with my son. She is extremely intelligent, thorough, warm and loving. She really goes out of her way for her patience. I really wish we had more doctors like her.

Dr. Heck may be a smart person and she certainly has a good reputation but our experience was truly dismal. My 25 year old daughter was continuing to have seizures under Dr. Heck's care. She never once received a call back from Dr. Heck herself even though Dr. Heck had doubled my daughter's prescription of Lamictal only to have the seizures increase dramatically. She was unresponsive and uncaring on all levels. Perhaps she's just too busy. There's more, but not enough characters remain.
