The New Heaven City – The new owners of Heaven City, Jim & Julie, have done an outstanding job keeping up the high quality that H.C. is known for. The meals are incredible, the live music is wonderful and I love the new outdoor patio. It's a great place to enjoy a cocktail or have lunch. I've never had a bad experience there and I go quite often (lots of new menu items to try!!!) I loved the Ahi Tuna.
Best of the Best – Probably the best dining experience ever. Tapas Tuesday w/live spanish guitar and the Friday Fish "try" are incredible. The Whitewater Salmon is the most inspiring dish ever - the door county cherry souffle is a must as is the warm apple tart!!! You'll be in awe at the portion sizes. The mushroom brie tart is another must have!! You honestly won't find anything on the menu that isn't incredibly exquisite. Impeccable service too.
What could be better? – I noticed another review title called "worth the drive"...that is the absolute truth. The owners of this charming "destination restaurant" are both delightful and talented. Chef Scott McGlinchey whips up seasonally inspired masterpieces, and each item on the well-manicured menu is paired with a wine that perfectly compliments the dish (torn between a couple of wine choices, and you can be rest assured that the exceptional wait staff will likely bring over a sample of each). A wonderful Frank Lloyd Wright-inspired mansion with a sordid past sets the stage for some remarkable country dining. – The Scene Owned and operated by the husband and wife team of Scott McGlinchey and Mandy Meyer, the food at Heaven City makes the 30-minute drive from Milwaukee worth the trip. Heaven City's menu is regional, and some area farmers bring goods straight to the kitchen door; this freshness provides an explosion of flavors on the plate. The Food Quail Napolean and Samurai Sturgeon with wasabi lime butter are jus... read more
Best Meal Ever – I have enjoyed 2 of the best meals of my life at Heaven City. The atmosphere is beyond charming, the service beyond reproach and the food beyond believably good.
Amazing!! – This place is best place for a romantic dinner. The food an service were superb!
Worth the drive – Heaven City is worth the drive from the city. Tucked away in an old hotel/brothel/mob hideout that still retains its 40s ambience and charm, Heaven City is a unique dining experience. Terrific regional specialties and service are highlights. Or, for a unique experience, visit on Tuesday nights for Tapas nights to sample many unique appetizers!
What could be more romantic then dinner in an old brothel? For the best food and wine in the world and exotic menus - go to Heaven City.
