I’m thankful to say Dr Penland has been my medical provider for more than 12 years. He truly cares about the wellbeing of his patients. He listens, encourages, recommends, and doesn’t rush the appointment. He is the best at medication management and it has resulted in tremendous improvement in my health. Probably the worst place about answering the phone and checking voicemails. I have called 4 times in the past month at reasonable operating hours, no one calls back or picks up the phone. I am now left unmedicated and however that is not their problem or concern. If you have ever had your medication ripped from underneath you cold turkey, you would know it is no fun. This location needs serious work. The people are kind but they don't want to work or help people the way they should.
He’s a great doctor but his office staff is non efficient! The never answer the phone nor call you back. I don’t think he is aware of the issue.
Dr. Penland is great. I have worked with him for 10+ years and have truly benefited from his care. My only concern is there seems to be a consistent problem with office staffing. You cannot get through on the phone lines. You have to leave a message and IF it gets returned, it is usually days before you hear from anyone. Lately my phone calls have not been returned at all and that has made it very frustrating and disappointing. He is such a great doctor.
