RecommendedMy pets receive excellent care here. Isn't that really what is important? I know that at least 2 of my dogs' lives were saved here over the past years. Dr. Murray was a great addition. Both vets are good and stay current on what is happening in veterinary medicine. Pleasant staff, too.

Brandy reunited us with our lost dog while she wasn't even working. She's so passionate about animals. She was so compassionate! We live in Louisburg but I will be taking my animals to Heartwood from now on. These are the kind of people I want looking after our dogs. THANK YOU AGAIN BRANDY!!! You are heaven sent.
All the staff are so good to my cats and dogs. They're knowledgable and sweet as can be. The prices are comparable and everything is done to ensure the pets safety and wellbeing.
Dr. James Murray and his staff were absolutely terrific. Although being out of state, they were able to make an appointment for our German Shepherd the same day, did a complete check up and surgery that afternoon. They were also excellent in requesting and obtaining Bella's medical records from Lemon Bay Animal Hospital in Englewood, Florida within an hour or so. Love the staff of Heartwood. They love our babies and take such good care of them. We take our 4 kitties there for all their care.
I've been taking my cats there for over 15 years. The separate waiting rooms for cats and dogs is a big plus and Dr. Murray is a kind and compassionate doctor and is the main reason I will continue utilizing their services. Heartwood has a reputation for being expensive but their level of care and the cleanliness of their facility cannot be topped in this area.
