Recently, I had to let go of my beloved cat of 15 years. The staff at Heartland helped with every stage of this difficult process. Today, I received a card in the mail from the staff expressing their sympathy at my loss. Eight different people wrote in this card. Wow. What this says to me is that they valued my pet and know that I valued her. If only "people doctors" were as kind as these folks, the world would be a better place.
