Heartland Hospice was wonderful from the first day I made contact. I was recommended this hospice by a trusted colleague and we couldn't have picked a better one to care for my mom in her last days here with us. I called on a Friday afternoon and it only took a few hours for insurance to go through. There was a nurse there Saturday morning. I met 3 nurses throughout mom's care and I was amazed at how caring and understanding each of them were. The folks at Heartland Hospice are awesome! They took care of my Mom from the end of March until her recent passing. Mom loved them all and I was so comfortable, knowing they were taking care of every need. On weekends they were always quick to answer my calls and were available immediately when we needed help. They provided all the necessary equipment quickly for us. We have never needed a hospice before. We asked some friends - nothing. So I googled it. They sounded nice so we signed them up. Then we found out this IS NOT a 24 hour hospice. It's a hospice that you call & get a nurse out within 3 hour. They say they can provide constant care if needed but came up with an excuse for not being able to do it multiple times. I cannot say enough good words of our family's experience with Heartland Hospice in Hurst, TX. Everyone in our team was extremely caring and professional.
