Always the best care imaginable. Only hospital I trust my horses with.
Wow is the first thing I can say! I have been to a lot of vets over the years and this was the best experience and customer service I have had to date. This is the first time I haven't been "nickeled and dimed", yet still received the most thorough lameness/number of radiographs/ultrasound done before on one of my horses. (They spent more time on one horse than my previous vets saw two to three) they didn't rush you through to get to the next horse. I took a mare in after having 2 vets giving me little to no help and basically writing her off as a pasture ornament. She has respiratory issues and the vet here listened and noted everything that had lead up to me being there with her I was almost in tears this had all been such a nightmare. She listened longer to my mares lungs in that one session than the 4 vet spts done priot. My mares discharge report was far more through that most human doctor reports I'm seen. My almost 5 yr old gelding was diagnosed with bone chips in his knee. I took him to Dr. Carlton for surgery and he and his staff did an amazing job and took the best of care of Flash. We are a little over 2 weeks post surgery and there is no swelling and he is getting around perfect! I highly recommend Heartland Equine Hospital. ( I apologize to the gal that got half a bucket of water splashed on her by him hitting it with his head when we first put Flash in his stall :( )
The vets were so amazing at giving me daily updates, when i got my boy home they gave clear discharge instructions and when I had a question it was answered within a timely manner. My horse went home in great shape and had remarkable care. I will use them again in the future!
Dr.'s Eric and Kelly took wonderful care of my horse when I was in need in an emergency situation and to help with regular veterinary care as well. They do a great job explaining and caring for the animals and owners that come into their Hospital.
Throughout my filly's extended stay, Dr. Carlson and his staff were always supportive and informative as to her condition. They made a tough situation more bearable. Top notch facility in my eyes.
