Heartland Dog Training Center is a non-profit dog training and education foundation on Peoria¿s Northeast side. The building is nestled back in the trees, far from any highway, and has plenty of flat, frequently mowed, outdoor grassy spaces to train - as well as a Fully Handicap Accessible regulation size obedience ring in our indoor, air-conditioned building. RecommendedThe trainers are patient and experienced.
While offering good training tools, there could be improvement. Lack of communication, i.e. phone calls and emails never being returned. Secondly, the graduation is keyed to AKC standards, which is ridiculous for the general public who wants an obedient family dog. With a few tweaks, this could be a good operation.
The trainers are friendly, very knowledgeable, ready to help as needed and it’s fun. Most rewarding to have dog that obeys you. We have used Heartland for two dogs now and would highly recommend.
A center that truly cares about the dogs & their owners. Knowledgeable & dedicated.
A good place with dedicated staff who love training dogs. I wouldn't say it was perfect, nothing is, but not far off. We will be returning for additional classes soon.
Awesome training, my dog loves to go to school! Rally class is fun and my dog has learned so much. Otis gets so excited when we turn the corner.
