Absolute nightmare of a property in New Bedford. Not only are the apartments structurally unsound, there is a rotating smell of cigarettes, shit and garbage that will infiltrate your belongings. AC doesn’t work, there is never enough parking for residents. No security inside or outside the building (my car was vandalized in the Hearthstone parking lot). Constant screaming and fights around the building. Please save yourself the regret!
I have been living here in New Bedford at 26 S Water St for almost a year. Recently the sewage backed up into my drains, and I called at 6am to let them know there was a problem. After working a 17 hour day, I came back to excrement and sewage in my bathtubs and cannot shower. I called the “24 hour maintenance” which cannot get here. I have not been able to shower in my own apartment since waking up and working two jobs. Thank you hearthstone!
If I could give negative stars, I would. Save yourself the nightmare! Dishonest people that care more about profits than the well-being of their tenants. They will not hold up their end of the lease. Any and all repairs may or may not be done. If you're lucky enough for them to repair something, likely it won't be done right the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd time.
