We moved from the valley to the high desert of Oregon not knowing about plants for this climate. Our online research led us to Heart Springs Design. In our first meeting with Chris we could tell she actually read the initial forms she had us fill out! She's been tremendous at balancing our wants with the reality of high desert requirements. She has continued to communicate her ideas while being open to our ideas Our yard was planted October 2025 and this first spring we were so happy with it's beauty. Very disappointed. Chris's design looked beautiful on paper, but did not turn out well once executed. She selected trees to block our mountain views. She designed our irrigation which damaged our brand new fence and never established our pasture. Our biggest concern, Chris never took responsibility, she put the blame on us and the landscape company. Our project cost was close to $300k. Pictures don't lie, ours look very different than her website. Buyer beware.
Chris took a small, unattractive space and made it an oasis for me. This was a new type of project for me.After discussing my goals for the space Chris did a wonderful design and supported me through the process. She worked within my budget. Chris is very knowledgeable about the right plants for this area and made great suggestions and used lovely color combinations. I would recommend Chris for any project big or small.!

Chris created a fantastic Landscape design for our greenfield home build near Sisters. After more than a year, the plants have flourished and look amazing. Her knowledge of plants and trees has been invaluable. The deer leave our shrubs alone. We strongly appreciate Chris Hart-Henderson.
