Heartbreak of Texas Besides the internet connection in the room, the place was a bit depressing. There were really no conveniences there and even though I had paid for a week, I left after 2 days.

Did NOT like my room being 80 degrees. When we went down to talk to the front desk person he said “well usually our guests ask us to turn the ac on” and that “it should cool down in an hour or so” I had NO idea I had to ask for the room to be a comfortable temperature before arriving -especially when I gave Aaron my arrival time several hours in advance. We ended up turning on the Ac and moving chairs outside just to have some air. Very uncomfortable and not what I expected even for an inexpensive hotel. Will he be leaving other reviews of my night elsewhere as well

Motel managers Bob and Jeanette keep the rooms and property in tip-top shape and even find time to tend the multiple rose bushes. The Heart of Texas Motel also boasts some Hollywood history having been the site for scenes of "Blood Simple" directed by the Cohen brothers and a Trisha Yearwood video featuring Matthew McConaughey.
