Update (2): The store's response to open the package for me, and then to ask how I defrost my meat is extremely condescending and inconvenient. I don't need a cashier touching the meat, you don't have a butcher onsite, why would you even offer that? You don't have a publicly facing butcher counter. I walked by downtown Whitby so many times and was not aware of this store until I did a food tour. The older I get the more I care about quality of food I put in my body and I'm glad this store exists and it is so close us.

Quality of the meat does not match the price, and all meat is frozen when you buy it.
I had a great experience at this store. The staff were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, taking the time to answer my questions about where their meat comes from. I was specifically looking for beef and chicken raised under more ethical conditions, and they assured me they had personally visited the farms they source from, which gave me real confidence in their products.
