From the provider side of things, this company has been a nightmare. They have a useless website and their phone tree is even worse. There is NO way to get to an actual person, and the system just hangs up on you when you try. It isn't even obvious how to credential with them, and after how much nonsense I've gone through just to ask a question, I'm no longer going to. First off, the call center folks are lovely and none of this is their fault. Every person I have spoken to has been a delight and I hope they are all having beautiful days and are paid fairly. The company itself is a nightmare. I work as a private biller/executive assistant for a medical provider and MANY claims still have not been paid. It has been 7 months. Countless calls. The point of a PFO closure is to prevent a stroke, this horrible insurance company wants the patient to have a stroke before they’re covered for the procedure. Look elsewhere if in the market for insurance and if your company offers them up at a great rate, just know what you’re getting yourself into.
