Since February of this year, I have had the honor and pleasure of contributing to the monthly Geriatric Assessment Clinic at the Health Resource Center. On the first Thursday of each month, I supervise graduate students as they screen elderly visitors for disorders of language, speech, voice and swallowing. My students never fail to experience an interdisciplinary epiphany as they learn from others in related health professions and contribute to a team on behalf of the patients!
