Stay away from thrm! I had sent them a claim with all the support documentation they asked 10 days ago and all their portal say is that is that they staff the claim. It doesn’t even say that the claim is in review
BEWARE!! In the name of Travel Insurance, these people exploit you by saying 'First you need to pay the Deductible' and when its their turn to pay for AN ACUTE INJURY! they will turn around and back out on the patient, after weeks of delay and NEVER PAYING A SINGLE DIME!! Three months and still waiting for a $290 refund. Filed a simple claim for my infant's ear infection on a Canada trip. WorldTrips confirmed receipt of all my documents on April 13. Since then they've repeatedly asked me to resubmit documents I had already sent and they had already confirmed receiving — including the Payment Authorization Form, three separate times. Worst travel insurance ever, I took travel insurance for my parents with 0 deductable for their trip of around 5 months. During the visit my mother was sick, consulted a doctor and doctor performed a blood work. They first rejected my claim saying a list of items missing which the doctors office were able to provide. Then again they were rejecteing the claims asking for the documents one after other, some of them never exists and unable to met their requirements. Do NOT purchase this travel insurance! I submitted a claim on February 23 for a trip that I missed due to last minute medical problem. They are STILL reviewing this claim 5 months later and demanding further information. My claim is what I would call straight-forward with information from my doctor, my travel agent, and the travel provider. I repeat: Do NOT purchase this travel insurance.
