I saw Dr. Chung for a consult due to bad sciatica, bulging disc. He explained everything very clearly and recommended trying more non-surgical interventions. My ortho doc had told me there was nothing more they could do and I was looking at surgery . Seeing Dr Chung and hearing what he had to say supported my instincts to seek out a new Ortho provider. He is very personable and explained things very well. Should I need surgery in the future, I would go back.
I gave them a 1 star and wasn’t even a patient. I tried switching from my spine doctor who has done surgery on my neck to this place. They advertise that they take Medicaid on the website but when my primary doctor sent a referral like last week I’m just hearing back from them today just to tell me that they don’t accept Medicaid. Instead of talking to me first to even see if I have secondary insurance they sent my referral either back to primary doctor or my old spine doctor. Woosick M Chung, MD, Spine Surgeon, is the most interesting doctor I’ve seen yet, great personality! Very knowledgeable, explains your condition clearly, and takes the time to answer your questions. Exam was quite thorough, enough that he caught something that hadn’t been noticed, so I was referred for a CT scan with follow up. At this time, am referred to a doctor in another specialty for evaluation and treatment for condition he doesn’t handle.
