Fantastic HCA South Shore Hospital in Sun City Center (parent hospital of HCA in Brandon )Nurses & staff took great care of me before, during & after surgery including my anesthesia guy& Doctor . Highly recommend. ANaylon
If I could take the one star away and leave zero I would. 4 hours at HCA palmetto to be transferred here and another 4 hours on a gurney in the ER HALLWAY waiting on a room. Terrible hospital. EDIT: Stay far away from this so called “healthcare facility” they’re incompetence borders medical malfeasance. Nobody has any correct information, your private information has a 50/50 chance of being read openly to someone who is not you because their staff does not pay any attention to what they’re doing. My experience with south shore…… While admitted everyone was not on same page during my care. The GI doctor & the Aprn Arthur F was Not on same page. Arthur was extremely sarcastic with me when I ask questions. My family was very irritated with my care there. And of course the staff is going to back each other up! So my daughter’s complaint was not addressed properly & really not taken seriously. Having a GI bleed scared me tremendously & I’ve been having GI problems for over 2 years. Never bring your loved one or yourself here. The staff here are horrible they are slow, nurses and doctors that tend a patient are terrible at communicating, and show no urgency or care to patients. My grandfather was supposed to get a lumbar puncture, nurse Makenzie told me and my family that they have the fluids and are waiting for results she leaves and the physician came in and he told us that they did not do the lumbar puncture, this is one of the examples of the horrible communication.
