I think the nurses there are too nosey . I think they are rude and they should keep their hands to themselves .They shouldn't touch people in their own manner .I don't think they handle people properly.Andvthey they don't know her e to do child birth well .I think they are rude and they do a terrible job with handling their patients. Only expect to be taken care of if you have a real emergency, you are not a priority to them for check up appointments.
I been coming to oakhill for several years, Sadly I have done many long stays, I have at one time put 100% trust with my life in there hands, and they have saved me a few times, but since HCA has taken over things have changed for the worst, this is my 4th time here under there ownership, absolutely terrible... Although the clinic team were wonderful & kind & the doctors did their job well, the post-team care was a NIGHTMARE, to say the least! The nurses lied to my husband, left me alone for five hours post-surgery in EXCRUCIATING pain, refusing to give me any meds that would ease my pain. They left me, the donor & the recipient, the night of our surgery without any medication, including not giving anti-nausea meds. Both of us woke in agony! I read an article...One of the 250 best hospitals in America. " Exceptional, patient-focused culture" If 1 plus 1 equals 2 Exceptional patient -focused culture must equal the following. 1. Non responsive to patient need help who has limited mobility in using the restroom. Solution - just do it in the bed and sit in it for an hour 2. Deliver lunch and assistance for a patient with limited mobility arrives 30 minutes after lunch is delivered. Call to nurse button must not be working...again. Good morning my name is Mark Conway and I was ambulance to your emergency room on the sixth stay there the seventh and went to room 340 on the eighth spent a couple of days there at room 340. I had a tremendous overbearing pain level on my left wrist which could not be touched at all in severe pain in my lower abdomen. Had a CAT scan with contrast and found a stone in my bladder. Agree with Jennifer Holton review below, RUN for your LIFE! This is the absolute worst hospital in the history of mankind. Spouse came in ER for Sepsis treatment and was operated on (that part was good, Dr Flick is amazing.) However, once admitted to second floor it went downhill from there. Nurses rough handling of the patient (never getting her centered in bed), leaving food trays out of reach knowing full well she can't even move her arms to grab it and eat. Dec 30, 2022, 7:44 PM St David's South Austin Medical Center: "Worst ER in Austin. BP is 184/127 with a resting heart rate of 104. Said my blood sugar was good. IT was actually tested at another ER. It was 341. Doctor refused any pain medication but Tylenol.Said it could be a Fibromyalgia Flair.
