This hospital once was the best in Augusta. Now it is horrible and basically a death sentence. The 5th floor is a joke and could have possibly saved my mothers life if they just went to check on her after my dad went to the front desk to ask for a nurse three different times Apparently the nurse was speaking to her orthopedic surgeon Dr David Gallagher. He should have made sure that the nurse he was speaking with at least went into her room to check her vitals and to see What my father meant when he said she was gurgling and... read more

DON'T GO TO WEST MARION"S emergency care! The ambulance took my adult daughter to Marion West late Friday a couple of weeks ago. She was admitted with acute and extreme lower right quadrant abdominal pain. We were in the emergency room, mostly unattended, for 7 hours. My daughter's pain was never controlled. The only time we saw a nurse was when my husband flagged down someone in the hall. The morphine they finally gave her didn't touch her pain (no one checked back to see if it did so). When my husband flagged someone again... read more

We arrived in the dark for a 4:45 am appointment. No security. No lights. Just a dark scary parking lot.. we followed the signs to admitting, which we already had done, ha ha. Then, they took my husband away and led me to another dark, unattended room, where Judge Judy was on the tv at 5:30 am. Horrible horrible horrible. The so-called status board was never updated after he was moved to the procedure room. What a joke. He never “left”. I had to call the hospital to find out where my husbsnd was. And then go find hi... read more

This place is terrible. The staff is clueless about everything and anything. I'm not really sure if this is an actual hospital or medical school. The staff are extremely rude and don't listen to anything or anybody's concerns. The staff in ICU is even worse. I would NOT recommend this place.

I wish they had negative 1 stars. I went to Chippenham Hospital tonight with my girlfriend her husband had to be taken by ambulance because he had a seizure when we went in to the waiting room to wait until she could go back with him I was shocked to see that they had Patients bring treated in the waiting room they had people with IV'S and people clearly in pain lined up side by side with some flemsy partitions between each Patient absolutely no privacy you could see and hear everything. What about the HIPPA Laws What about ... read more

My mother of 85 years fell and fractured her hip. She was admitted there, in terrible pain, and had difficulty moving. It took me going to the Nursing director and file a complaint because I could not get them to move her off her back and she developed a decubitus. 3 days in a nurse was pulling my mother out of bed by her prosthetic arm to get her to a wheelchair. When my mother screamed in pain the nurse told her if she didn't like it, she can call her son to pick her up and take her out of the facility. The nursing staff w... read more

Horrible staff on the 6th floor I was better off being seen by the special needs class in highschool than half their staff it was insane the level of rudeness and incompetence they let someone die because they didn’t get him for dialysis on time.

Such a terrible experience. Waited 12 1/2 hours in pain, in a wheel chair, in the reception area over night. Didn’t get pain medicine for even longer, no beds available and none knew anything. Plus, the nurse lied about the doctors where about a for 18hours, so I called his office directly, then he came. When the doctor did come the nurse didn’t listen to him and give the proper pain medicine. Such a horrible accident and a horrible experience at this hospital made the trauma that much worse.

There are a few things good about this place ... not too much !! I was in for a couple of days with a bacterial infection, when released was told to immediately start my antibiotic which would be Tuesday. Here it is Thursday and I finally found it at a different drug store 20 min away. I've tried to have it transferred to another pharmacy but by now the antibiotic is of no value since it's been over 60 hours or so. I called the charge nurse and Gracie told me I'm SOL bc I'm not a patient anymore and the prescribing doc can't... read more
