Awesome food! I wonder how I missed this placed when I live just walkable distance from here! BYOB and food by chef Victor Monrenz.. Wonderful combination...
My wife planned my surprise 30th birthday party at HB. The food was outstanding! It's easy to miss this humble little restaurant in the heart of Boys Town, but don't. You won't regret it.
I would consider HB to be the best restaurant on Halstead. Corey Bowers is an amazing cook who has a unique way of taking the simple things in life and making them better without complicating their natural alure
The food was out of this world. Everything on the menu looked delightful and BYOB (with no corkage fee) makes dinner really feel personal and cozy. Prices were not outrageous either for the amount of food you got. We went on a Wednesday where the 3 courses for $33 had the place packed. Fabulous deal! The service was also great. David, our server, was knowledgable and friendly but not overbearing for it being a small place. It's gems like these that make me fall in love with Chicago more and more everyday. We will be back!
Best meal I've ever had. Every course was absolutely amazing.
