The regular public rides are Wed @ 1, Sat @ 12 & 3pm and Sunday at 1 & 3pm. The grounds are open during the week. Trains run during the week only when is there's charter ride. Call for schedule. We are currently booking about 2 weeks in advance.

I had fun there. There is RR history throughout the islands...
Back during RIMPAC 2014 I had a week day to myself. Saw a rail line and decided to follow it.Found the museum, but the gates were closed. So, I was peering through the fence and taking pictures when one of the members popped his head out of the building and asked if he could help. Long story short, I spent a very interesting afternoon looking around the museum and talking with a great bunch of guys. Was the highlight of my trip to Hawaii.
Great experience and had a wonderful time. Will definitely come back when I come back to HI.
Awesome Ride see the old side of Kapolei and to the Kahe power plant and back.
A must see! Great history and the volunteers make it all worthwhile!
