The regular public rides are Wed @ 1, Sat @ 12 & 3pm and Sunday at 1 & 3pm. The grounds are open during the week. Trains run during the week only when is there's charter ride. Call for schedule. We are currently booking about 2 weeks in advance.

The ice cream train ride is the best. Gorgeous views for 90 minutes!
I rode the train as part of my high school reunion activities. It is a great to visit the Leeward side of the and see sights that are off the beaten track. Everyone who loves trains will love this unique trip and the history of trains in Hawaii.

Truly one of west Oahu’s local treasures. Train rides, outdoor museum and a incredible model train layout exhibit. Fun and informative about Oahu’s celebrated train history. Bring the family or friends !
I would absolutely recommend the Hawaiian Railway Society to anyone visiting visiting the Oahu island, it is well worth the $15 for the ride, especially the 3pm ice cream trip. All of the staff are extremely friendly and knowledgeable on the history on the railways of Oahu. And I must commend the HRS on the presentation of their train especially car No.64, riding on car No.64 is definitely worth the $30 to sit back in comfort on an original 117 year old first class car.
